This painting was started as a plein air painting when I painted with my freinds and fellow painters Laura Swiggett and Stan Brodsky in Cold Spring Harbor in 2018. Stan was an abstract painter, with over 60 years of painting - lots of "brush miles!" He had a big impact on my development as a painter and I'm very lucky to have spent some time with him. He passed away recently at the age of 94.
